How Do We Equip Our Church Family?

Like two sides of a spinning coin, Orchard ministries exist for two reasons simultaneously:

1. To share that Jesus is the only way to reconcile ourselves to a God who truly

loves us and wants each of us to follow His plan for our lives. (Evangelism)

2. To teach believers how to live a life that honors God’s design for our lives, and

how to live out His plan. (Discipleship)

LifeGroups

LifeGroups convene two times a year over the course of eight weeks. Sessions are held in

the spring beginning the week of Easter Sunday and in the Fall at the beginning of the fall

sermon series. Although LGs meet for two eight-week sessions, member care for the groups

should continue throughout the year.

Deacons

Every member of Orchard Church has a Deacon Group that provides member care and pastoral

guidance. Deacons serve as the go to source in times of need. All deacons at orchard are made

up of a husband-and-wife team. Deacons are mature believes who provide various members

with guidance throughout tough challenges.

Each Deacon Group is made up of one senior deacon couples and a group of other deacon

couples who serve about 250 – 300 families. Currently Orchard has four (4) deacon groups.

Ministries

Orchard Church has over 28 different ministry opportunities. Some ministries have multiple sub

ministries built into the group. For example, Reach Out ministry which is an evangelical team

that reaches out into the community is comprised of 19 sub ministries. Also, Not Alone ministry

is an example of a group that offers over seven (7) different components.

Each ministry has two (2) purpose. The first is to allow the members of the church to serve

others using their spiritual gift, and the second is to provide members and nonmember the

opportunity to be served by others. All ministries at Orchard Church follows the mission of e3

and the vision of reaching the over 500,000 non-believers’ in our community for Christ.
